Guy Benson Collection’s origin story

Business partners Guy Charlot and Derick Graham founded Guy Benson Collection in 2006 and named the company in honor of their grandfather Guy Benson. They grew up in the streets of Brooklyn, “a place where the challenge can be so overwhelming”, they write on their website, “very few complete it, much less live to accomplish fame and success.” It is this ferocious longing for success, this determination that is apparent in every design and makes the brand such an authentic success. “We wanted a way to reflect our style and attitude without having to communicate how we feel”, say the label heads. “Like a picture, we don't like the idea of defining our clothes we'd rather have our clothes do it for us."
